Help us improve

Is there anything on this site which doesn't work or which you think could be improved? Please help us to get better.
Email us
to give us feedback about what works well, or not so well, for you, or to make a suggestion or report any problems you encounter.

PS. One thing you may notice is that we use Australian English spelling. So we're sorry if you are from another part of the world where words like colour and organisation look strange to you, but we hope you can still understand us, despite the different spelling.

Who are you going to call?

It's not a good time to start searching for alternative suppliers or effective external consultants or support, after you find yourself in the midst of a crisis. Any effective working relationship requires an up-front investment in establishing it, and during a crisis you need to be totally confident you can rely on everyone you turn to.

The very best companies I work with build those reliable relationships with suppliers, consultants, regulators and all their stakeholders slowly and surely over time.

If your crisis plan says you will rely on an external PR company to handle your communications in a crisis, or other technical support consultants, consider using several different firms NOW for small routine projects to see how things go.

This will not only help you to build reliable relationships, but it will allow you to identify the strengths and weaknesses each has so you can make the best decision for any particular situation which occurs.

Then you'll know exactly who to call, should you ever need to.

Quote of Note

"The road to wisdom? - Well it's plain and simple to express:

Err
and err
and err again
but less
and less
and less."

Piet Hein, Danish inventor and poet
